Jill Mary Dyer

Jill and I met in London in 1962. We went on an (under 30) round the continent coach journey with 30 passengers (all from Australia and South Africa). Jill had a lot of fun pointing out the passengers she thought would not be under 30 which became a huge source of amusement. When we got back from the 90 day coach trip, four of us shared a flat in Castlenau and found jobs for a year or two. I was the only one to continue to live in London and Jill went home and then got married, had her beautiful children and then her wonderful grandchildren. We met up again about 8 years ago when she and Terry had lunch with us in Hampshire. It was amazing to see her after all those years and of course to meet Terry. She’d hardly changed in all that time, the same funny and lovely person she always was. What a memorable day. She made a huge impression on me and I will never forget how she would remember every birthday and Christmas, RIP Jill
