Steven Kenneth Gibson

It was a great pleasure to have met Steve, Joan, their daughters and family. A very welcoming family with Steve always bearing a smile and making me feel welcomed. Fondest memories sitting around listening to he and Rob playing guitar and singing. RIP Steve

We have been friends with Joan and Steve for over 50 Years. During that time we have visited their family every year when in Perth to visit family. We have spent many fun times listening to Steve play and sing and encouraging Bob to learn to play his guitar. We have had much banter and jokes and he was always very cheeky on our many phone calls. He was still giving cheek a couple of weeks ago when we called. We will miss him and wish we could be there during this sad time. Love and Hugs to our dear friend Joan and family. Although you were older than us and had already left home when Sharon and I were growing up, I was fortunate to know you and Joan. You were always kind, warm, and welcoming, in fact I have fond childhood memories, with Sharon on your houseboat with you and Joan. I remember your love for music and loved to sit and watch, listen and sing along with you. The sound of your guitar and your singing brought so much joy to so many for many years.Life gave you a beautiful family with Joan and your daughters and grandchildren and it was clear how much love surrounded your home.Growing up just one house away from your parents, our families' lives were intertwined in so many ways and I will always remember you as a genuinely lovely man.Now reunited with your beloved sister Sharon, may you rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to Joan, your daughters and their families and to your brother Colin and all who loved you. You will be remembered with great affection.
