In Loving Memory of Auntie TiniWe say goodbye to our dear Auntie Tini, who has left us after a long, rich, and loving life of 94 years. Hers was a life full of warmth, generosity, and love for family — a legacy that lives on in every one of us who was lucky enough to know her.I hold so many cherished memories of Auntie Tini and Uncle John (Bep) — memories I carry close to my heart. During my Australian adventure, I had the great privilege of staying with them for a good while. What was meant to be a short stay stretched on and on, simply because their warmth and hospitality made it impossible to leave. Their home was full of laughter, generosity, and an open door that never seemed to close, and I'll always be grateful for the way they welcomed me in and made me feel so at home, so far from my own.I'm deeply thankful to have been able to watch the ceremony — a beautiful and, above all, respectful send-off that truly honoured who she was.To her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: strength to you all in the days and weeks ahead. Hold tight to your memories — they are a gift she leaves with you, always.Rest gently, dear Auntie Tini.

Dear Peter, Cheryl, Ina, Annette, and of course all the family in Australia,It is always difficult to be so far away at a moment like this, when we have to say goodbye to my dear aunt Tini.I always knew I had family in Australia, but I first met you when I was 11 years old. Since then, we have shared many precious moments and created so many valuable memories with Tini, Bep and the whole family.I was very happy that Nouschka was able to visit Tini last December. It means a lot to us that she had that special time with her.We have such fond memories of all our visits to Tini in Australia, and of the times she came to see us here in the Netherlands.Tini will always be remembered with great love, also by my Mum. ❤️All our love for Tini and the whole family

Toen Bep en Tiny in 1952 naar Australië vertrokken, was Peter, de jongste broer, pas 14 jaar oud. Zijn oudste broer en Tiny gingen ver weg een nieuw leven opbouwen. Na ongeveer 24 jaar kwamen zij voor een bezoek naar Nederland. Later zijn Bep en Tiny nog een half jaar in Nederland geweest. We hebben altijd contact gehouden, vooral via brieven, en natuurlijk tijdens hun bezoeken aan Nederland. Tiny was een schat van een vrouw – lief, zorgzaam en altijd vrolijk. Ze was iemand die oprecht blij was om anderen te zien en met wie het fijn was om contact te hebben. We wensen Tiny alle rust toe. Voor onze Australische familie wensen we jullie heel veel sterkte met dit verlies van jullie moeder, oma en overgrootmoeder. Een speciale dank aan de kinderen. We weten dat jullie heel goed voor jullie ouders hebben gezorgd en er altijd voor hen zijn geweest. Tiny zal in onze herinnering blijven als een lieve, warme en vrolijke vrouw. Met lieve groeten voor onze Australische familie, Oom Peter, tante Gemma en de familie uit Nederland.*******When Bep and Tiny left for Australia in 1952, Peter, the youngest brother, was only 14 years old. His older brother and Tiny travelled far away to build a new life. After about 24 years, they came back to the Netherlands for a visit. Later, Bep and Tiny spent another six months in the Netherlands. We always kept in touch, mainly through letters, and of course during their visits to the Netherlands. Tiny was such a lovely woman – kind, caring and always cheerful. She was someone who was genuinely happy to see others, and it was always a pleasure to be in touch with her. May Tiny rest in peace. To our Australian family, we wish you all strength and comfort as you grieve the loss of your mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A special thank you to her children. We know that you took very good care of your parents and were always there for them. Tiny will always remain in our memories as a kind, warm and cheerful woman. Tini we will miss you so much. So sorry we didnt see you while we were in Perth. You were an amazing lady it was our pleasure to know you. Love to your family they will have lots of photos and memories of their mum and oma. Rest in peace with John.
