What a privilege… What an honour to have such a sweet and caring lady as my Auntie! I will always cherish and treasure my memories and photos that no one can take from me. From my younger years of visiting you in Wollongong and you allowing me to play with your old fashioned telephone on the wall, I always think of you when I drive past that land, which now is a car park, to my time with you in WA when you took me, just you and I on a shopping adventure and you purchase my first Bras, to the photo I’ve attached when you couldn’t get over that I was taller than you ;-) I feel so blessed to of been able to talk to you on the telephone and share that no one would give me your contact details, I’m so grateful I was able to talk to you and share with you that I had 3 oncology operations, and no supports, and the roller coaster my health took me on from a young age, which you did not know about. You said you loved hearing my voice, but I loved hearing yours more, your sweet voice matched your heart ;-) You said you loved hearing about my husband, children and grandchildren, you never forgot our shopping spree even reminding me of the specific details… it was so lovely to have a laugh with you. Sorry my health prevented me from being there today, I also didn’t know the details, luckily for Google I found this page, I bet when you started your secretary studies and career, never in your wildest dreams would you of believed anyone sharing about the advantages of the internet. Sadly I’ve missed the live service but please know you’re in my thoughts and prayers, I have a candle burning brightly, rest in peace till we meet again. Love your neice, Karen 💝

Cousin Arlene - what a fabulous character! We fondly remember our visit in 2007 - beaming at us in her bright yellow dress so that we wouldn't miss her! She showed us around and happily introduced her cousins " all the way from England".Then we had you to stay for a while and we enjoyed day trips out and about. You got to stay with your much loved cousin Mary for a spell - happy times! We have so enjoyed ... and will miss ... your lively phone chats and your risque jokes! Rest in peace Arlene, you will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved you.

Its over 60 years since I first met Aunty Arlene, she had only just emigrated with uncle Les. Over the years I have known her, she has always been a happy, kind and helpful person. One valuble memory that comes to mind was when I needed a place to stay with my family and Arlene allowed us to use her home for a short time. She was in the UK as her dad was very ill, so this trust she afforded us was typical of her kind nature. Rest in peace Arlene, all our love from Barry and family X

Even though we lived in different States Arlene, you in W.A. and me Hilda in N.S.W. we still kept in touch via email and telephone. I will miss our communication Arlene. Rest in Peace and the Lord be with you. Your loving sister-in-law Hilda. X

Aunty Arlene was a beautiful soul, who helped everyone she came into connect with, that is why she was chosen to be my godmother back in 1971. She was the first person my parents meet when they moved into Spearwood. Over the past few years, I lost contact with her, but she was always in my thoughts. RIP AUNTY ARLENE
